Fighting for Yards

I went through my pictures from the last 2 months and came up with a few to share. They are a little random and not so much in any order, but it will let you see what we have been up to. This is what it looks like in the Gila Valley during July, Aug, and some of Sept. These are the cotton fields that are all over the place. During these months it is very green, then it turns white, and then back to dirt. This one is across the street from my neighborhood.

It is so beautiful and green during the summer months.

The first day of school. Josh 7th, Conner 6th, Kaitlyn 4th, Jacob 2nd, and Brauk kindergarten. The kids love school and are having a great year so far.

Like father, like son.

About 3 weeks after our vacation to Utah, my Grandpa Champneys passed away. I was so grateful that we had visited him while we were there. He is an awesome man and I love him dearly. We made the trip back and home as well as my brothers and sisters. It was so fun to spend time together, especially with the out of staters who I hadn't seen in a very long time. I love you all.

Kaitlyn with her cousins Brinly and Kenadee

My Grandpa was a World War II veteran, so they did a neat ceremony to honor him. My brother Jared is currently serving in the army so it was neat to see him all dressed up and representing our country as well as my Grandpa.

Me and the kids saying good bye.

Me and my mom.

My mom and her sisters.

This is my brother Eric, Tate, and me. I'm holding my grandpa's tin that he would bring to every family function filled with peanut brittle. This tin is so my grandpa!

The sisters, minus Mandy who hadn't arrived yet. Me, Rhiannon, Lucretia, & Shelley

Josh had a football game in New Mexico and his Grandma and Grandpa Palmer, who are serving in the New Mexico mission came down to see him play. It was so great to see them even if it was only for the afternoon. We love you Elder and Sister Palmer!

Watching Josh's football game with Sister Palmer.

Thatcher Eagles #44 Joshua Palmer yeah, Yeah!

The community had a poetry contest for The Gila Valley Cowboy Poets. Conner was one of the winners and he had the opportunity to recite his poem at a couple of different events going on. His poem was entitled "Yippin' Cory." The best part of the poem was Conner reciting it with his cowboy accent. It was so great! We are so proud of Conner.

Conner had a soccer game right after he was done reciting his poem. That's why the soccer outfit.

Hailey turned 4 and she had a couple of friends over for a Birthday tea party. They did make-up, nails, and some dressed up. It was a lot of fun.

I can't believe how big she is. Hailey got this cute apron for her birthday and loves to wear it while she plays restaurant.

Some more birthday pics.

Josh had his first choir concert for school. He tried out for a couple of parts and at the concet he sang two different duets. He tried out for the parts without me even suggesting it. He just came home one day and said I tried out for some parts for our concert. After he helped me up off the floor, I let him know how proud I was of him. He did a great job! He is full of all sorts of surpirses.

Jacob trying on Josh's pads. He wondered if he'll ever have shoulders this big, I assured him he would.

Josh,#44, making a run for it. Keep scrolling down there is a video of Josh. Also check the older post for Oct. there is another video of Josh playing.

Vacation

We had such a wonderful time on our vacation that took us to Utah, Idaho, & Wyoming in 17 days! We had a blast visiting our family and friends. We are so blessed to have so many great people who took time out of their busy lives and spent time with us and let us stay at their houses and eat their food. Thank you so much. We love you all! Here are a few memories...

When we visited Idaho it was Kiley's birthday so the adults went to the Firehouse in Logan. It was fun spending time together without any kids. What a bunch of goodlookin' old people! Happy Birthday Kiley!

The little boys enjoying one anothers company; Jaden, Branson, Jacob, Logan, & Brauk. They had such a great time playing together

Best friends; Hailey Palmer and Kenadee Dabb. They like to look like twins so Christy always does their hair the same, it's one of my favorite reasons for visiting...no hair duty!

We enjoyed our niece Breanna's dance party in Idaho. Hailey living it up doing the sprinkler! You go girl!

Kiley, Scott, and Mike busting a move. I don't know if we were embarassed for them or because of them!

Hailey, Brauk, Kenadee and little Kason enjoying the pool. Mike is sure enjoying himself.

We had a great time at Bear Lake with the Jeppsen family. It is always so much fun to camp and enjoy all the fun stuff at the lake. Thanks everyone!

Brauk loved this little floaty thing.

Josh and Jacob loving the tube. Grandma always gives great rides.

Hailey loved the tube so much and the best part about it was sticking her thumb up to tell Grandma to go faster...even when she almost bounced out, her little thumb was still sticking up. Mike had to grab her arm to keep her from flying out. Crazy girl!

The gang waiting on the pod for their turn to water ski. L to R Kiley, Kenadee, Hayden, Conner, Jackson, Kaitlyn, Brinley, and Lucretia.

Conner was able to get up and ski. Way to go!

Kaitlyn also got up and skied. Good job sweetie!

You can't come back to Utah without going to Lagoon. One of the kid's favorite things there is the go carts. Bailey and Conner hittin' the road.

Mason and Brauk had a great time on the space blasters.

Hailey and Kenadee's first time at Lagoon. They both loved it and had so much fun.

We had quite the crew at Lagoon (and that's not all of them)

Julie, Kaitlyn, and Bailey on the Tidal Wave.

This was Jacob's first time on the rocket...what a brave boy. He loved it!

Josh and Breanna trying to be calm as they wait for the catapult to take off. They are so brave!

They are so high....it makes me a little queasy!

They both loved it. It was so fun watching their faces on the camera. You guys are so brave...or crazy?

Our friends the Smith's had a little (65 people) BBQ and Swim at the KOA. It was so great to spend time with our friends that we love so much from WY. Good times and Great people. I especially love the ice cream...Thanks Grandpa Anderson!

Some of the kids enjoying the park...

And some enjoying the pool!

My awesome grandparents. I'm so grateful I was able to spend some time with them. We had a great time at the Griffiths reunion.

My cute dad and stepmom. You did a great job on the reunion and we are so glad we got to see you. Thanks for a fun time!

Lucretia, Dave, kids, and Kiley(a niece). We love you guys and had a blast spending time with you. Thanks for all you did for us.

One for the scrapbook. Me and my family!
